Gainful Employment

The American College of Hairstyling teaches barbering and only barbering. This program is designed to be completed in 38 weeks. Instructors are seasoned, licensed barbers and licensed barber instructors who have worked in the field prior to joining the school’s faculty.

This program will cost $20,500 if completed within normal time. There may be additional costs for living expenses. These costs were accurate at the time of posting, but may have changed.

A student who approaches the school wanting more funding needs to contact his/her own financial institution. The school does not process loans and grants. Eligible students can access the State Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (e,g, Voc Rehab), the U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), the WIN, and Promise Jobs programs.

Qualified applicants are started monthly when there are openings. Classes are small to allow considerable one-on-one instruction that results in successful graduates.

The program meets licensure requirements in Iowa. Students are prepared to take the Iowa licensing examination.
